The Sidekick Pro Anti-Kickback Rear MTB Hub is built for trail, all-mountain, enduro, and E-MTB riders who want the full Sidekick experience with upgraded internals: EZO bearings, TPX hub shell bearings, and nickel-plated pawls. The best version of the technology, for riders who demand it.
Like every Sidekick hub, the Pro fully decouples the drivetrain from the suspension during coasting. The pusher-activated magnetic pawl mechanism retracts completely when you stop pedaling, giving you genuine near-zero drag, full suspension freedom, and near-silent operation with a tool-free deadband adjustable to 9°, 13°, or 18° trailside. At 9°, engagement is fast and direct, comparable to a conventional hub, ideal when climbing is the priority. Open it up to 13° or 18° for maximum anti-kickback and suspension performance on descents.
The Pro upgrades what's inside: EZO bearings in the driver, TPX bearings in the shell, and nickel-plated steel pawls and pusher for reduced friction and improved surface hardness over the long term. The dual black and sterling silver anodized finish and 17mm alloy axle complete the package at 300g.
