The Grappler DH rear hub features a unique integrated 7-speed 9-24T cassette/ driver, exclusively engineered for e*thirteen's downhill rear wheels. This innovative system has a compact design that reduces weight and parts compared to a standard rear hub. It also creates a more robust wheel architecture through a broader spoke bracing angle. This allows the wheel to have equal spoke lengths and tension on both sides for more consistent handling and better wheel durability.
The second generation 7-speed cassette has been re-engineered, now with nickel plating for extended durability and a wider 266% gear range.
